Prof. Zhang Ruigang, a male scholar born in 1978 in Anshun, Guizhou, holds a Ph.D. in Insurance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Finance at the School of Economics, Guangxi University. Prof. Zhang, with rich experience in insurance education, is the head of the tutor group of the master's degree program in insurance at Guangxi University. Additionally, He is an associate professor and a tutor of Master of Finance, Master of Finance Specialization, and EMBA. His research focuses on risk management and insurance.

Prof. Zhang has been engaged in frontline teaching in insurance for a long time. He teaches a host of courses for undergraduate and master students of finance at Guangxi University, including Insurance, Risk Management, Insurance Actuarial, Social Insurance, Property Insurance, and Life Insurance. He hitherto boasts a robust publication record, with over 50 research papers in esteemed domestic and international journals, including SSCI, SCI, CSSCI, Peking University Core, and IJFE (International Journal of Finance and Economics, ABS Samsung Financial SSCI authoritative journal). Moreover, Prof. Zhang has presided over and completed one national project, two provincial and ministerial-level projects, and a corps of other horizontal and vertical projects. Meanwhile, Prof. Zhang has participated in more than 20 significant projects, including the national self-science surface and Guangxi major projects.

Prof. Zhang holds various key academic and social positions, including membership on the Communication Evaluation Committee of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and expertise in Degree Thesis Evaluation for the Ministry of Education. He also serves as the Director of the Business Research Insurance Branch of the China Social Security Society, a member of the Asia Pacific Society of Risk and Insurance, the Project Leader for the UCAP Certification Course at Guangxi University under the North American Actuaries Association (SOA), and the Director of both the Guangxi Insurance Society. Prof. Zhang contributes his expertise as an evaluation expert for scientific research in Guangxi and serves as an anonymous reviewer for several core financial journals.
