Brief Introduction of Professional and Technological Work

Zhang Lin, majoring in economic geography, graduated from Further Education School of Normal University of Hunan Province in 1995. From September of 1999 to July of 2002, Zhang studied in Geography and Environment School of Northwest Normal University and got a master degree in human geography. From September of 2002 to June of 2005, Zhang studied in City and Environment School and got a Doctor degree in human geography. Zhang came to work in Guangxi University from July of 2005, and was promoted as assistant professor in the same year. In 2008, Zhang was promoted as professor, and selected as Ph.D supervisor in 2012 . Zhang has awarded five excellent achievements from the regional economic community.

As a researcher, Zhang Lin is moderate but progressive, fond of and good at studying in new questions. As a model engaging in scientific research practice, Zhang is always keeping a norms of a scholar both in daily research and life. With good professional morale, Zhang doesn’t long for vanity, keeping self-disciplined and responsible. He is also good at Chinese classic literature and have written many classic poems, several English poems and translated several English poems into Chinese(attaching in the other papers).

Dr. Zhang Lin devotes his studies to knowledge economy and regional development, and now focuses on study in learning economy of under-developed region. Zhang’s Ph.D. dissertation, On Regional Development of Learning Region and its application, explains the internal logic of Learning-Oriented regional development and constructs a comprehensive framework of Learning-Oriented regional development. This dissertation awarded Zhang Excellent Ph.D. dissertation of Jilin Province in 2006. In Economic Science Press in Beijing, Zhang published his book of Learning Region: New Paradigm of Regional Development in Information Age in 2006, and in Economic Science Press in Beijing, published another book of Research on the development competence of knowledge economy in West China from the View of system theory in 2015. Zhang has published more than 50 dissertations in the scholar journals such as economic geography, human geography and reform.
